Welcome to our Recreational Boats Skipper (PER) Theory and Practical Course, a comprehensive training offering an in-depth understanding of the essential principles and practices of recreational boating in preparation for your PER theory exam.
Our courses provide everything you need to become a certified skipper, our course covers a wide range of topics, including navigation, safety, and maritime regulations. Our aim is to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to confidently captain boats up to 15 meters (or 24 meters with additional training) and sail up to 12 miles from the coast.

PER Theory Course Structure and Duration
Our PER Theory Course is meticulously organized to provide a thorough understanding of recreational boating.
Spanning 40 hours, the course is divided into a series of theoretical classes designed to cover all aspects of boating knowledge. Classes are held regularly over a period leading up to the examination, ensuring a well-paced and comprehensive learning experience.
Each session lasts approximately 2 hours and is conducted twice a week, allowing ample time to absorb and reflect on the material. This structured approach, over a period of about 2.5 months, effectively prepares you for the exam, ensuring you are well-equipped with the knowledge required to succeed and become a proficient skipper.
PER Practical Course
Our PER-focused practical training includes navigation and security courses required to obtain your Recreational Boat Skipper License. The practical course lasts 16 hours in two 8-hour days on board one of our official boats.
Radio courses last 12 hours in two 8 and 4-hour days at our academy with official simulators.
Included:
1 themed 4-hout outing every month of the year
2 themed 4-hour outings every month of the year
On every outing, you will learn a different aspect of sailing, and furthermore, you will be able to access all club events like regattas, job offers, etc.

Getting Your PER License
Students will be awarded a sailing license Upon successfully completing the course and passing the examination. This license authorizes them to captain boats up to 15 meters in length, extendable to 24 meters, with an additional practical course.
Moreover, it allows sailing up to 12 miles from the coast, opening a world of maritime exploration. This certification is not just a license; it’s a passport to new adventures and experiences on the seas.
Enhance Your PER License Up to 24 Meters
You can enhance your Recreational Boat Skipper License to 24 meters with the possibility of crossing to the Balearic Islands. This 24-hour navigation practical course includes 2 hour break in Ceuta or Málaga, depending on the wind.
